  • 1941 Historical Aircraft Group Museum  The 1941 Aircraft Group is dedicated to restoring, preserving, and displaying old and rare aircraft in flying condition, with an emphasis on the World War II era.

  • Air Museum of Kentucky 12,000 square feet of display area, a fully equipped shop for aviation restoration projects, an office, a library/archive and a gift shop.  The museum is a dynamic entity which includes not only older restored aircraft and memorabilia, but also air-worthy, flyable aircraft for the public to enjoy.

  • Carolinas Aviation Museum  A nonprofit all volunteer museum in Charlotte, NC.  Featuring over 30 aircraft plus numerous aviation artifacts.

  • The Commemorative Air Force  This organization includes the American Airpower Heritage Museum with an archival collection of more than 50,000 World War II artifacts, and the American Airpower Heritage Flying Museum which preserves and maintains about 130 aircraft.

  • Dutch National Aviation Museum  The 'Aviodome' at Lelystad Airport with museum pieces demonstrating Holland's aviation heritage, and a theme park flying two classic airliners.

  • Duxford Imperial War Museum  180 aircraft on show: biplanes, Spitfires, Gulf War jets, and historic aircraft.  The American Air Museum at Duxford and houses a collection of historic American combat aircraft.

  • Empire State Aerosciences Museum  Outdoor displays of restored aircraft and indoor displays of models, dioramas, and artifacts, including a mockup of the plane flown in Anelia Earhart's ill fated flight around the world, and a replica of the vonPomer Pusher, an early example of powered flight.  Programs for youngsters include hands-on activities in model building, rocket construction and launching, and study of the princilples of flight.   Offered for Adults are ground schools in preparation for the Private Pilot and Instrument Rating written exams required by the FAA for aviation certificates.  The library holds over 20,000 books, manuals, peridicals, pieces of artwork and audiovisual items.  Located at the Schenectady County Airport, New York.

  • The Evergreen Aviation Museum  A 121,000 square foot facility in McMinnville, Oregon, featuring the famous Hughes "Spruce Goose" Flying Boat, an SR-71, a 1903 Wright Flyer replica, a C-130 cargo plane, a B-17, quite a few fighters and trainers, and general aviation and other aircraft.

  • Flight Of The Phoenix Aviation Museum  Showcases the aircraft and equipment of the armed forces.  In Gilmer, Texas.

  • Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum  This museum houses an inventory of forty historically significant aircraft, with over two-dozen on static display.  Located at MCAS Miramar, open to the public, and free of charge.

  • Glenn Curtiss Memorial Park  A web site addressing a nation-wide campaign dedicated to the future creation of Glenn H. Curtiss Memorial Park, to be located on the southern shore of Keuka Lake in his birthplace, "home town" and final resting place - Hammondsport, New York. Glenn Curtiss, known as the "father of Naval Aviation", a key figure in the development of the American aviation industry now has the opportunity to be properly honored by the creation of this park.

  • Indiana Aviation Museum  IAM aircraft statistics, membership information, and a regularly updated events schedule.  IAM is a museum where all planes fly, and can give rides through the Warbird Experience and Sponsorship Programs.

  • International Women's Air and Space Museum (IWASM)  This non-profit Cleveland museum showcases the accomplishments of women in air and space.  Rotating exhibits, a research center with thousands of documents, photos, books and artifacts.

  • The Iowa Aviation Museum  Celebrating Iowa's aviation heritage with memorabilia and photographs, eleven civil aircraft on display, including some rare examples of early flying machines from the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s, and two military aircraft, an A-7 Corsair jet and a Huey Cobra helicopter.

  • Kansas Aviation Museum  Restoration facilities, aircraft, aircraft components, educational displays, research resources including archives on Kansas-built aircraft, and memorabilia from Kansas' world famous air achievers.

  • The McChord Air Museum  The official USAF organization whose mission is to portray the history of McChord Air Force Base.  Aircraft and scaled model exhibits, unit exhibits, collection of weapons, instruments, paintings and art from the USAF art collection, photographs, vintage uniforms and other memorabilia.  Located on McChord Air Force Base near Tacoma WA.  Site includes an extensive list of links to U.S. Air Force museums and other aviation museums.

  • James S. McDonnell Prologue Room  Exhibits showcase the products from Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, North American Aviation, Hughes Helicopters, and Boeing Vertol.

  • The Memorial Flight  A non-profit organisation which aims to preserve French and European aeronautical heritage, mainly centered on the First World War period.  Restoration to flying condition of an original SPAD XIII C1.  Current flyable aeroplanes include a Fokker DR-I reproduction, an original Morane AI type XXIX, a Dassault MD311 Flamant, and a reproduction Blériot XI².  Other projects include an RAF SE5a and the static restoration of the historic "Point d'Interrogation" on behalf of the Musée de l'Air.  French site.

  • Octave Chanute Aerospace Museum  This museum has over 40 aircraft and missiles on display, including replicas of Charles Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis and Chanute Field's first aircraft, the Curtiss Jenny biplane.  The world's only remaining Boeing XB-47 Stratojet prototype is also on exhibit.  Dedicated to preserving history and educating visitors about Chanute AFB and Illinois aviation history.
